The Boulevardier is brooding and complex - like an affair you shouldn't have started, but couldn't resist. Bitter orange, warm spice, and deep sweetness swirl together in a spirit-forward cocktail that lingers like the memory of a lover’s final kiss.
Ingredients
1 oz bourbon (or rye whiskey for a spicier edge)
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz Campari
Garnish: Orange twist or cherry
Instructions
Chill the glass: Place a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer or fill with ice water to chill.
Stir, don’t shake: Combine bourbon, sweet vermouth, and Campari in a mixing glass with ice.
Mix with style: Stir until well chilled — about 30 seconds.
Strain and serve: Strain into the chilled glass, neat or over a large cube.
Garnish: Express an orange twist over the glass and drop it in, or garnish with a cherry for a moodier look.
